The International Journal of Biotechnology (IJBT) provides an international forum and refereed authoritative source of information in the fied of Biotechnology and Biotechnics, with emphasis on management and economics, as well as the political and social issues. It aims to disseminate knowledge, provide a learned reference in the field, and establish channels of communication between academic and research experts, policy makers and executives in industry, commerce and investment institutions. The objectives of the IJBT are to develop, promote and coordinate the science and practice of biotechnology. It also aims to help professionals working in the field, engineering and business educators and policy-makers to contribute, to disseminate information and to learn from each other’s work. The international dimension is emphasised in order to overcome cultural and national barriers and to meet the needs of accelerating technological change and changes in the global economy. IJBT publishes original and review papers, technical reports, case studies, conference reports, management reports, book reviews, and notes, commentaries, and news.
