Green Fuels Forecast is focusing its coverage, analysis and perspective on the critical intersection of transportation, agriculture, science and commerce. As veteran automotive and technology journalists their mission is to deliver original and in-depth reporting on the burgeoning industry of green fuels. That includes not only covering all the latest developments in ethanol, biodiesel and synthetic fuels – but also a host of other renewables: from hydrogen to compressed natural gas to peat moss, just to name a few. At Green Fuels Forecast they will cover not only what automakers are doing to improve their engines, but also how government policy may impact the industry and ultimately how everyday consumers can find the cleanest ways to fuel their cars, trucks and SUVs. Green Fuels Forecast also provides a platform for airing the debates raging on the pros and cons of ethanol and other biofuels. In The Debate section, there is a forum for exchange of views across the spectrum of biofuels. They will include submissions with different points of view from the scientific, agricultural, energy and environmental constituencies.

The OWL Working Group has published the First Public Working Draft of three Web Ontology Language (OWL) 1.1 specifications: “Structural Specification and Functional-Style Syntax,” “Model-Theoretic Semantics,” and “Mapping to RDF Graphs.” OWL is used to define Semantic Web vocabularies. Together, these new specifications extend the W3C “OWL Web Ontology Language 1.0” with a small but useful set of features that have been requested by users, for which effective reasoning algorithms are now available, and that OWL tool developers are willing to support. The three specifications cover, respectively, the syntax, semantics, and mapping to RDF of OWL 1.1 ontologies.
