Planning & Environmental Law (PEL)
http://www.planning.org/PEL/index.htm

Planning & Environmental Law (PEL) and its predecessors, Land Use Law & Zoning Digest and Zoning Digest, have been known for incisive interpretations from top-notch contributors. In each of its 11 annual issues, Planning & Environmental Law summarizes 40 to 50 federal and state judicial decisions and legislative acts that pertain to planning and environmental management. These abstracts are a plain-English guide to what’s going on around the country and in your own back yard. In addition, monthly commentaries offer a broader perspective and analysis of trends in planning law. PEL Online compiles the abstracts of Planning & Environmental Law into a comprehensive database. Subscribers can use this research tool to find cases relevant to issues they are working on, searching by state, topic, and date and creating custom folders to save and organize their research. Frontiers in Neuroinformatics

February 26, 2009

Frontiers in Neuroinformatics
http://www.frontiersin.org/neuroinformatics/

Frontiers in Neuroinformatics is an electronic journal devoted to studies on the creation of neuroscience data and knowledge bases, together with the development and use of numerical models and analytical tools for the sharing, integration and analysis of experimental data and the advancement of theories of nervous system function. Neuroscience is being propelled into the information age as the volume of information explodes, demanding organization and synthesis. Novel synthesis approaches are opening up a new dimension for the exploration of the components of brain elements and systems and the vast number of variables that underlie their functions. Neural data is highly heterogeneous with complex inter-relations across multiple levels, driving the need for innovative organizing and synthesizing approaches from genes to cognition, and covering a range of species and disease states. Frontiers in Neuroinformatics therefore welcomes submissions on existing neuroscience databases, development of data and knowledge bases for all levels of neuroscience, applications and technologies that can facilitate data sharing (interoperability, formats, terminologies, and ontologies), and novel tools for data acquisition, analyses, visualization, and dissemination of nervous system data. Their journal welcomes submissions on new tools (software and hardware) that support brain modeling, and the merging of neuroscience databases with brain models used for simulation and visualization. They also welcome submissions on clinical neuroscience databases and the use of novel informatics approaches to merge clinical with basic neuroscience data. Frontiers in Neuroinformatics aims to catalyze advances in this immense area of research to support neuroscience in the information age.
