Noodzy – Use #Tags To Control the Web
http://www.noodzy.com/

Noodzy is a smart bar, that you can control by adding #tags to execute what we call “quick actions” ! Learn how Noodzy works by clicking to “More info”, and be a part of our revolution ! Noodzy is more than just a bar, it lets you access to the whole web easily by adding simple #tags on the bar, that when you submit them, will execute what we call “quick actions”. With these quick actions, you can do what you do everyday on the web, but faster and easier! No more need of going to every website separately, just go to Noodzy, and use the power of our #tags! With our BETA version, we’ve launched 6 modules ( Google, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook, Gmail and Quick Messages ) so you can interact with these websites, without having to go to them separately, with the list of #tags that we’ve set up. You can find the whole list on our Labs. They are as many opportunities as websites, so the more people will use our service, the more we will code new modules and services, to make Noodzy the first homepage on every web-browser in the world! Open Science Grid (OSG)

Open Science Grid (OSG)
https://www.opensciencegrid.org/

The Open Science Grid (OSG) advances science through open distributed computing. The OSG is a multi-disciplinary partnership to federate local, regional, community and national cyberinfrastructures to meet the needs of research and academic communities at all scales. The Open Science Grid (OSG) provides provide common service and support for resource providers and scientific institutions using a distributed fabric of high throughput computational services. The OSG does not own resources but provides software and services to users and resource providers alike to enable the opportunistic usage and sharing of resources. The OSG is jointly funded by the Department of Energy and the National Science Foundation. High-throughput computing needs of our scientific users are being met by a large number of computing resources that can be accessed directly through Globus services or more conveniently through grid technologies build on top of them. Storage resources provide easy access to terabytes of storage space through the common SRM protocol. The resources contributing to the OSG are primarily Linux clusters with Ethernet interconnects. This has been added to the tools section of Research Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog. This will be added to Grid, Distributed and Cloud Computing Resources Subject Tracer™.

Operation Encrypt Everything (OpE^2)

April 03, 2012

Operation Encrypt Everything (OpE^2)
http://encrypteverything.ca/index.php/Main_Page

Operation Encrypt Everything (OpE^2) was started in 2012 by members of the Pirate Party of Canada to counteract the increasing threat of total communications surveillance by governments and private industry. It is intended to bring together information about protecting your data and privacy online, and making easily-understood instructions available to our digital comrades. By getting in the habit of using good encryption practices, you can ensure that your financial records, web surfing history, conversations with friends, and photos of your loved ones are private, and not endangered by your national government, a foreign government, major corporations like Facebook or Google, or even malicious hackers. When we want something to be secure, we tend to lock it up – and that’s what encryption is, a lock and key for your private life, ensuring that your recent credit card purchases, vacation photos, web browsing history or chat conversations aren’t going to be on the front page of tomorrow’s newspapers…or the topic of family conversation at Thanksgiving. It’s not enough to decide that you’ll try and protect this photograph, or that e-Mail, if you want true security and privacy, you must…ENCRYPT EVERYTHING! This will be added to Privacy Resources Subject Tracer™.

Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks
http://www.mdpi.com/journal/jsan

Journal of Sensor and Actuator Networks is an international open access journal on the science and technology of sensor and actuator networks. It publishes regular research papers, reviews (including comprehensive reviews on complete sensor and actuator networks), and short communications. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical results in as much detail as possible. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. The full experimental details must be provided so that the results can be reproduced. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: * Manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas will be particularly welcomed. * Electronic files and software regarding the full details of the calculation and experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material. Subject Areas: * system architecture and operating systems * network hardware * sensor tasking and self-management * network services for time, localization and power management * communication and network protocols * data processing, storage and management * programming models and middleware for sensor/actuator networks * simulation of sensor/actuator networks * experimental facilities and test beds for sensor/actuator networks * global sensor networks * embedded systems * nano-sensor networks * applications in medical science, environment monitoring, manufacturing, automation and precision agriculture, etc. * security and privacy
