Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Algorithms
http://www.springerlink.com/link.asp?id=108992

The Journal of Mathematical Modelling and Algorithms (JMMA) focuses on applicable, discrete mathematics where the research reported also contains a significant algorithmic component. Published papers have a strong mathematical foundation and are concerned with the development of mathematical models and solution techniques. Particularly welcome are papers exploiting recent advances in computing and applied to problems of a practical nature. Many of the accepted papers have described exact techniques but some develop heuristic and metaheuristic methods and these are welcome provided the mathematical modelling content is substantial. Topics covered include:

* algorithmics,
* artificial intelligence,
* bioinformatics,
* combinatorial optimisation,
* complexity,
* computational geometry,
* data structures,
* graph theory and algorithms,
* mathematical modelling,
* signal processing,
* mathematical programming,
* metaheuristics,
* parallel and distributed systems.

This list is not meant to be an exhaustive list but rather an indication of the areas of concern of JMMA. Common to all accepted papers is a considerable amount of sophisticated mathematics. This has been added to Bot Research Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.

Education World
http://www.educationworld.com/index.shtml

Education World, the Educator’s Best Friend, a resource that includes: a) a search engine for educational Web sites only, a place where educators can find information without searching the entire Internet; b) original content, including lesson plans, practical information for educators, information on how to integrate technology in the classroom, and articles written by education experts; c) site reviews; d) daily features and columns; d) teacher and principal profiles; e) Wire Side Chats with the important names in education; and f) employment listings. Education World’s goal is to make it easy for educators to integrate the Internet into the classroom. With 98 percent of the nation’s public schools connected to the Internet, the need for a complete online educational guide is evident. Education World is designed to be that resource for educators. This will be added to Education and Distance Learning Resources 2006 Internet MiniGuide.

Biomedical LIterature and Text Mining Publications (BLIMP)

Biomedical LIterature (and text)Mining Publications (BLIMP)
http://blimp.cs.queensu.ca/

BLIMP covers all publications related to the fast-growing field of biomedical literature and text mining. It is a one-stop resource, letting researchers find out who-does-what in the area and where it is published, bridging across the many discipline-specific venues in which biomedical text-mining papers are published. BLIMP is committed to both coverage and relevance. It started with a large collection of publications, and constantly relies on authors to notify BLIMP through the submission form about their newly accepted papers. Relevance of submission is determined by the editorial board and each relevant paper is promptly added to the website. This has been added to Biological Informatics Subject Tracer™ Information Blog. International Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery
http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin/jhome/112094293

The International Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery provides a cross-disciplinary platform for presenting the latest developments in robotics and related technologies for medical applications. In the past few years robots have begun to be used in surgery on a regular basis, and advances in visualisation and operative planning tools are set to revolutionise the way in which medical interventions are performed. The journal aims to foster a community that encompasses medical practitioners, researchers and commercial manufacturers, with the intention that this will assist in the promotion and further development of these exciting areas of technology. Although primarily aimed at medical practitioners the coverage is of a highly practical nature and presented in a form that makes it accessible to all subscribers. The journal has been founded by individuals with many years experience in both general surgery, medical robotics, virtual reality and a wide range of sensor technologies. The quality and relevance of the content is assured by an international Editorial Advisory Board of leading experts covering the full scope of the journal. The journal is available in both hard copy and on-line. The website also includes a large and continuously updated database of research activities and commercial products, with links to the source organisations. The International Journal of Medical Robotics and Computer Assisted Surgery operates an online submission and peer review system that allows authors to submit articles online and track their process via a web interface.
