Dr. Watson – Program Error Debugger
Welcome to version 5 of Dr Watson. The good Doctor started working on Internet web pages sometime in the mid-nineties and has been published in quite a few books on web site development. I’d like to thank all of you for your kind words over the years. Dr. Watson for Windows is a program error debugger that gathers information about your computer when an error (or user-mode fault) occurs with a program. Technical support groups can use the information that Dr. Watson obtains and logs to diagnose a program error. When an error is detected, Dr. Watson creates a text file (Drwtsn32.log) that can be delivered to support personnel by the method they prefer. You also have the option of creating a crash dump file, which is a binary file that a programmer can load into a debugger. This site is not related to Microsoft’s Dr Watson. For those of you visiting for the first time, Dr. Watson is a free service to analyze your web page on the Internet. You give it the URL of your page and Watson will get a copy of it directly from the web server. Watson can also check out many other aspects of your site, including link validity, download speed, search engine compatibility, and link popularity.
