National Archives Records Express
Records Express is the official blog of the Office of the Chief Records Office (OCRO) at the National Archives. The OCRO provides records management leadership, oversight, guidance, and service to Federal agencies so they will appropriately manage their records for as long as needed to carry out their mission. As a result of that work, NARA can properly preserve and provide access to records that document the national experience and protect legal rights. Since our launch in 2009, Records Express has promoted transparency and openness about Federal records management policies and activities, highlighting NARA’s guidance, communicating about upcoming events, and discussing how the Office of the Chief Records Officer is working with our agency partners to improve records management in the Federal government.
