National Agricultural Library Digital Repository (NALDR)
http://naldr.nal.usda.gov/

The National Agricultural Library Digital Repository (NALDR) provides access to publications either digitized by NAL or through NAL’s partnerships with other institutions (see NALDR Projects below). The majority of the publications available in the NALDR were published by the USDA. Examples include the Agriculture Information Bulletin, the Agricultural Economic Report, and the Yearbook of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. A comprehensive list of full text publications is provided on the Publications – Additional Information page. The NALDR utilizes ZyLAB’s ZyIMAGE system, which includes optical character recognition processing to convert images into searchable text and a Web interface to display and print/download documents. In addition to searching the NALDR Web site, you can also search for publications through the NAL Catalog (AGRICOLA). Each publication in the NALDR is linked to an AGRICOLA record (see Help for additional information on searching). The metadata (called Document/Publication Details) that is displayed with each NALDR publication was imported from the corresponding AGRICOLA record. The NALDR was made available to the public in April 2006. Publications are added on an ongoing basis–check the Spotlights section of the home page for information on new additions. Biointerphases: An Open Access Journal for the Biomaterials Interface Community
http://biointerphases.org/

The Biointerphases journal provides an interdisciplinary platform for scientific exchange among the biology, chemistry, physics, and materials sciences communities. It offers a discussion forum for rapid dissemination of scientific theories, results, and interpretations. Biointerphases serves as a global vehicle for the biomaterials interface community as well as a platform that encourages dialog between scientists and the public with respect to cogent policy issues. Bointerphases is devoted to Articles of original research, Reviews, a “Myth and Reality” section addressing controversial models and experiments, Editorial Commentary/Letters to the Editor, Perspectives on Evolving Research, Reports on Interdisciplinary Research Programs and Opinionated Essays. Biointerphases will include all topics relevant to the study and understanding of interfaces and confined phases in biomaterial science and biophysics, e. g. such as interface spectroscopy, in vivo mechanisms, in vitro mechanisms, interface modeling, adhesion phenomena, protein-surface interactions, cell-surface interactions, biomembranes on a chip, biosensors / biodiagnostics, bio-surface modification, the nano-bio interface, biotribology / biorheology, molecular recognition, cell patterning for function, polyelectrolyte surfaces, and ambient diagnostic methods. Biointerphases is freely available online, and will be available in an annual bound volume for a nominal fee. This has been added to Biological Informatics Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.

Journal of Building Physics
http://jen.sagepub.com/

The objectives of Journal of Building Physics are to foster and promote scientifically thorough advancement of all the areas of non-structural performance of a building and particularly in heat, air, moisture transfer. Their goal is to enhance deeper insight and understanding, and enable the development of scientifically-based design tools, which are crucial for the implementation of a performance-based engineering approach in building design. Recently the scope of the journal has been broadened, in response to readers’ interests–and as a result of the shift in focus of the leading-edge building research organizations. Formerly titled Journal of Thermal Envelope and Building Science, the vision of the JBP is to facilitate the integration and implementation of a scientific approach in building physics with the various domains of building performance.
