Computational Biology and Chemistry
http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/14769271

Computational Biology and Chemistry publishes original research papers and review articles in all areas of computational life sciences. High quality research contributions in the areas of nucleic acid and protein sequence research, molecular evolution, molecular genetics (functional genomics and proteomics), theory and practice of either biology-specific or chemical-biology-specific modeling, and structural biology of nucleic acids and proteins are particularly welcome. Exceptionally high quality research work in bioinformatics, systems biology, cybernetics, ecology, environmental sciences, computational pharmacology, metabolism, biomedical engineering, epidemiology, and statistical genetics will also be considered. Review articles, software notes, and book review articles will generally be commissioned by the editors and should not be submitted to the journal without explicit invitation. However prospective authors are welcome to send a brief (one to three pages) synopsis which will be evaluated by the editors. This will be added to Biological Informatics Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.

LookInMyPC
http://www.lookinmypc.com/

LookInMyPC generates a complete, comprehensive system profile that includes information on all installed hardware and software. Additionally it provides system diagnostic information such as details on running processes, installed services, startup programs, Windows updates and hot fixes, active network and Internet connections, TCP/IP port usage, event log detail, and much more. All this is provided in an easy to read, formatted report that you can view and print using your web browser. We have also hyperlinked many items so you can quickly and easily “Google” them to find out what they are or if some programs might be spyware or viruses. It is also completely non-invasive and makes no changes to your computers settings whatsoever. We have even included a handy function that allows you to create a full system profile and diagnostic report and automatically send it as an email ZIP file attachment to a tech support or help desk person. Best of all, it’s completely FREE for personal and commercial use. There is no adware, no spyware, no system drivers, no hidden malware of any kind, nothing. No information is ever transmitted to anyone (unless you want it to). Whether you are a computer novice or a seasoned professional, LookInMyPC is an invaluable tool for troubleshooting problems and seeing what is actually going on inside your computer. This has been added to World Wide Web Reference Subject Tracer™ Information Blog. This will be added to Security Resources 2006 Internet MiniGuide.

Lexxe Search Engine

Lexxe Search Engine
http://www.Lexxe.com/

Founded in 2005, Lexxe Pty Ltd (ACN: 117 090 454) has been developing a third generation Internet search engine with advanced Natural Language Processing technologies. Their initial research and development of the search engine dated back in October 2004, with the help of Kangasoft Pty Ltd and a number of supportive individuals. Lexxe is based in Sydney, Australia. “Lexxe”, their company name, is derived from a linguistic term “Lexical”, which means “related to words”. It emphasises the processing of language from the level of words and the meanings associated with them, which is a core issue for Lexxe. Lexxe has been exploring more intelligent ways to find information for users in a more meaningful way. They believe this method will eventually bring far more accurate and relevant search results than the current search techonology. Their technology is built upon the foundation of advanced Natural Language Processing technology. This has been added to the search engine section of all the 2006 Internet MiniGuides.
