Asana – Task Management for Teams
http://asana.com/
Asana is an effort to re-imagine how teams get things done. They are building the modern way to work together, through a web application that connects everyone with what’s going on, their shared priorities, and who owns each part of the effort. They are engineering, business and thought leaders from companies such as Facebook and Google. They are backed by Benchmark Capital and Andreessen-Horowitz, and an experienced team of advisors. They all do great things together by aligning everyone’s energy towards a common goal, breaking the effort into parts, then marching towards the goal together. But too often, the friction of coordination, of communicating the right amount of information, to the right people, at the right time, in the right place, gets in the way. This friction lowers their collective productivity – which worsens with the complexity of projects they undertake. To take the next step in group productivity, they need a fresh start. They created Asana to help take that step; to improve the productivity of individuals and groups, to increase the potential output of any human effort.
