IP Australia has enhanced AusPat – the search system for Australian Patents. AusPat beta v2.0, the enhanced version of AusPat, allows users to search the text of published patent specifications, and access those specifications directly from AusPat beta v2.0 free of charge. The beta system has full functionality but only some of the documentation. The remaining documents are being quality tested and are being loaded progressively into the system. Users now have access to patent specifications filed from 1904 to 1976, and filed from 1999 onwards. Specifications from applications filed from 1977 to 1998 will progressively be made available with the complete collection expected to be available early in 2011. This has been added to the tools section of Research Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog. This will be added to Business Intelligence Resources Subject Tracer™.
