Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization
http://springerlink.com/content/102504/
The aim of this international journal is to provide a vehicle for disseminating information about all aspects of structural and multidisciplinary optimization through a single medium. It covers a wide range of topics related to: a) optimally designing structures (stressed systems) and b) multidisciplinary optimization techniques if one discipline involved deals with structures (stressed solids) or fluids. The scope of the journal ranges from mathematical foundations of this field through algorithm and software development with benchmark studies to practical applications and case studies in structural, aero-space, mechanical, civil, chemical and naval engineering. Closely related fields, such as computer-aided design and manufacturing, reliability analysis, artificial intelligence, system identification and modelling, inverse processes, computer simulation as well as active control of structures are also covered by the journal, if the treated topic is linked with or is relevant to optimization. Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization publishes original research papers, review articles, industrial applicatons, brief notes, educational articles, book reviews, conference diary, forum section, discussions on papers, authors´ replies, obituaries, announcements and society news. It is the official journal of the International Society of Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization.
