The Repositories Support Project is delighted to announce the launch of its new Buddy Scheme. This exciting new initiative provides a way of putting people in touch with other professionals working with repositories to arrange sessions for advice and training. They currently keep a register of 18 professionals from all across Great Britain who have kindly volunteered as buddies. People who would like to arrange a buddying session simply go to the buddy page on the RSP website and fill in the form. The RSP team will process the request and get back in touch with one or more suggested buddies. The RSP provides bespoke training and consultancy to HEIs across the UK, as well as a comprehensive programme of training and events. The buddy scheme will build on this to allow local knowledge to be shared and provide additional support at a local level. New staff may be able to make use of an opportunity to sit with someone else doing a similar job and get some hints and tips.
