Contemporary societies are facing an increasing volume of information in almost all spheres of social and economic life. Individuals and organizations engage in a frenetic spiral of generating new pieces of information at increasing speed. The Information Growth And Internet Research (TIGAIR) research programme was initiated 2006 at the Information Systems and Innovation Group (ISIG) of the Department of Management at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) to study this phenomenon known as information growth.
