AnswerLeaks.com is a simple version derived from stackexchange.com websites. The data is used with permission and proper attribution (see http://blog.stackoverflow.com/2009/06/stack-overflow-creative-commons-data-dump/). They have done a number of things that they think add value to this data set, namely: a) Simplification of the user interface. They show only the questions which have an accepted answer from the community. They removed the sidebar, comments and vote counts in order to minimize distraction. This gets you to your answer and on to your project quickly; b) They would be adding Translation of the content. They would start translating the question and answers into different languages. This eliminates the lag to use a translate service on the fly; c) They use their own search algorithm since they found that stackexchange sites did not had a very good search technology for questions and answers; d) Improved layout for mobile devices; and e) More exposure for stackexchange.com websites. By remixing the content, linking back without nofollow and providing translations, they allow stackexchange.com to grow more organically than if answeleaks.com did not exist.
