CiteHealth is a health care ratings website for consumers to evaluate their health care providers quality in an effort to enable them to make informed decisions about medical care they may be receiving. They accomplish this by providing free reports on health care providers and communities and also by providing a vehicle for patients to convey their experiences and questions to one another. The information contained on each health provider comes from numerous government and commercial sources, direct contact, and from the user base. They currently cover hospitals, nursing homes, dialysis centers, home care agencies, rehabilitation centers, pharmacies, and medical providers. Features include: 1) Provide all information for free; 2) Display every relevant piece of data; 3) Compare attributes of each provider against other providers and locations; 4) Organize information so it’s easy to use, access, and reference (i.e. no multiple pages, no logins, and no hurdles to get to the reports); 5) Display information in a number of different formats (i.e. graphs, sentences, lists); 6) Create indexes that intelligently combine key attributes; 7) Provide rich media content such as maps, pictures, audio, and more; 8) Deliver numerous tools to our users, all at no cost; 9) Allow mechanisms for community and sharing; 10) Let you give your feedback and take part in shaping the information; and 11) They “partner with and help” and don’t “sell to” the providers they cover.
