CLJC is an indexing (not a full-text) database. It contains table of contents information primarily for English language law journals from 2005 onwards. There is a project underway to extend the coverage back to 2000 for all journals (currently this is almost complete for the U.S. general law reviews). Current Law Journal Content provides: a) Displays all the tables of contents for issues added during a user selected date range; b) Searches for words in article citations (author/title/abstract/journal-name fields); c) Links to tables of contents for any one of the 1425 individual law journals; d) Links via an openURL server from authored article citations to corresponding retrieval possibilities in Lexis, Westlaw, BEPress, SSRN and other full-text databases (passwords may be required); and e) Supplies RSS feeds of contents for all, selected, or individual law journals, and also for the results of word searches. The table of contents information is obtained from a number of sources: 1) TOCs of 571 journals are obtained electronically at Washington and Lee via e-mail, web-sites, or RSS feeds; 2) TOCs of 90 journals are OCR scanned from paper copy at Washington and Lee; 3) TOCs of 718 journals are OCR scanned from paper copy at the University of Texas Tarlton Law Library and are incorporated into this service with the kind permission of the Tarlton Law Library; and 4) TOCs of 46 journals are scanned from paper copy at other libraries.
