The Curator team has been working hard on developing formal descriptions of digital resources used in climate modeling. Some of the resources they are trying to describe include modeling components, the software frameworks used to write components, and output datasets. They want formal descriptions so that climate modelers worldwide can easily share information about the models they are writing, and so that tools can be written to process the descriptions. So, the Earth System Curator is both a set of formal descriptions along with tools that can process them. his has been added to the tools section of Research Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.
