It deals with the evolution and transformation of political systems by means of technology. In particular it considers the concept of e-democracy (also referred to as digital democracy or internet democracy) which offers a feasible path to explore further these questions, since it is founded on the idea of streamlining political communications and altering aspects of political decision making in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of democracy.
