The Journal of Bioethical Inquiry (JBI) is a forum for discussing and debating ethical, cultural and social issues arising in medicine, the health sciences and health care in general. This includes core areas of conventional bioethics, such as research, clinical practice and medical technology. It also includes questions of pressing contemporary relevance, such as the implications of current world events for the health of populations, and critical analyses of how specific social policies around the world are likely to impact on health and welfare and systems of power. The JBI is published three times per year. In addition to original research, regular features include:

* New developments – updating readers about important developments, especially in health law * Reader Response – critical responses by readers to current or previous articles
* In that case – case scenario with commentaries by readers and/or invited commentators.
