The Journal of Religion, Disability & Health provides an interfaith, interdisciplinary forum that supports people with disabilities and their families through religious, spiritual, clinical, educational, and scientific perspectives. There is a growing awareness of the importance of spirituality and religion in health and human services. This journal addresses the critical ethical, moral, and spiritual issues raised by people with disabilities in health and rehabilitation services. This eye-opening reference allows people interested in the intersections of religion, disability, and health and human services to come together, meet, and learn. This journal focuses on research, policies, and practices that unite religious personnel with health care professionals and researchers to develop more holistic supports and inclusive communities for people with disabilities. The Journal of Religion, Disability & Health also supplies an equal place ³at the table² for the voices of people with disabilities and their families as they encounter and address services and supports in the world of faith and health. This journal strives to explore the richness of religious and spiritual life in both persons dealing with issues of disability and health as well as those who love and support them. Articles include research, clinical and pastoral reflections, theory and theology, and other media for spirituality such as poetry, sermons, prayers, and stories. The Journal of Religion, Disability & Health explores such issues as:

The editors and writers for the Journal of Religion, Disability & Health believe that health and disability are not opposite conditions. Disabilities in one area may co-exist with substantial well-being in other areas of health. The journal interprets disability to include a variety of physical and mental limitations, including physical disability, intellectual disability (mental retardation), and mental illness. Most issues of the journal include exemplary examples from research, theory, practice, and personal pilgrimage.
