Journal of Topology and Analysis (JTA) publishes major results on topology and analysis with emphasis devoted to the interaction between the two subjects. In particular, it will include geometric analysis, geometric topology, geometric group theory, K-theory and index theory, the connections between these fields and their applications. The unique feature is the emphasis on the interaction between topology and analysis. In the last decades, major advances in topology were obtained by analysis methods (such as the Poincare conjecture). On the other hand, ideas from topology has had an enormous impact on analysis (the celebrated Atiyah-Singer index theorem and its vast generalization in the context of noncommutative geometry is just one such an example).
