The Open Forum Foundation is committed to achieving its vision by working with an open and diverse community. By design, there is only one paid employee, the Executive Director. His position is to keep everyone else aligned and moving in the right direction. He is supported by a Board of Directors, a growing number of pro bono contributors, and numerous advisors that are each experts in their field. In addition, they have retained legal counsel and will soon be adding other professionals. They have begun developing a loose association of interested citizens via their Facebook page and very soon will expand that effort to Twitter, LinkedIn, and other social networking sites. In addition, they are about to begin fundraising, which will engage individual donors, corporations, and foundations. As they begin developing the platform itself, they will formalize partnerships with Congressional offices and advocacy groups, and establish a citizen advisory council. Together, these three partners will help finalize the platform’s feature set, perform usability testing on the early interface designs, and perform beta testing on the final product prior to its release. This has been aded to Research Resources Subject Tracer™ Information Blog.
