Scientific International Journal (SIJ) is an international, bilingual, cross-disciplinary, and blind- and peer-reviewed journal. It is a forum for the dissemination of information about relevant issues on the areas of health, education, and social sciences. SIJ’s mission is to encourage critical analysis and reflection and to promote quality and excellence in the processes and activities carried out in the delivery of programs and services. SIJ¹s audience is constituted by health, education, and social services professionals, community leaders, planners, managers, supervisors, administrators, and graduate students. In addition, SIJ serves non-profit and for-profit organizations providing health, education, and social services. Such organizations include public and private corporations, government agencies, educational institutions, health services facilities, libraries, and community organizations. SIJ promotes the importance of research and encourages professionals and faculty members to submit their manuscripts. One of the particularities of SIJ is its support to graduate students. SIJ is a portal for the publication of manuscripts based on their theses, dissertations, and other research work. SIJ goals reflect its indispensable and dynamic role in the professional community:
