SearchMapr is an “mash-up” search application inspired by Neurofuzzy’s treemap algorithm. Like roomformilk and reverbiage > tags they use the treemap display liberally. Instead of treemapping feeds over time they use treemaps to display inter-related search concepts. Their AJAX search uses a compressed and obfuscated version of the popular XHConn XMLHTTP Interface library. Our image display system uses ThickBox 2.1. They consider SearchMapr a “mash-up” because data is provided by Google and Yahoo using TRYNT and Yahoo web services. SearchMapr also consumes feed based data from del.icio.us.
