SpeedCine [Speed-Sinny] makes it easy to find legal feature-length movies on your computer. They collect information on films that are available from different sources and put them together in one convenient place. In time they will be comprehensive database of all the feature films that are available for downloading and streaming on the web. SpeedCine only indexes feature-length films–not TV Shows or shorts. They define “feature-length” as being at least 60 minutes long. They don’t index training videos, travelogues, or most shorts collections, but they do include many made-for-TV and straight-to-video movies. They do curate the collection to a certain extent. Not every film is included in the A-Z index; some are only accessible through the Search Box. Currently they have 13,000 films in their database, although not all of them are visible on the site. They plan to add one or two downloading or streaming sites every month, and expect to have over 25,000 titles in the database by the end of 2009.
